Aly and Dave met almost 20 years ago working together at Spirit Halloween in Algonquin, IL. Both share a huge affinity for Halloween, horror, and all things spooky.

One of Dave's favorite memories together was seeing Ghost and Amon Amarth at Northerly Island in 2023. It was his first time seeing Ghost, but kickstarted a love of the band as much as Aly already had.

Dave proposed on Halloween in 2025. While celebrating their favorite holiday with friends, Dave snuck outside and rang the doorbell, pretending to be a Trick-or-Treater. When Aly answered the door, Dave was on one knee and said "Trick or Treat?" Needless to say, Aly cried (in a good way).

The couple loves going to conventions, seeing horror movies in the theater, and playing Dead by Daylight together. They enjoy live concerts, and building thematic playlists for road trips.
